About Me

About Keela Bristol

My world is based on love. Please give love, respect, kindness and gratitude to yourself and others; here and in every moment of life.

This little corner of the universe is a place to abandon judgement and explore your higher self.  Most of my life I never knew I had a higher self, but once I slowed down, I realized it was there the whole time.

I began exploring meditation as a means to find peace in the eye of the storm.  Meditation was always a mystery to me and I held a false belief it was a practice only an enlightened person knew how to do. There is a mystery behind meditation, but it has nothing to do with “how to do it”.  The mystery really lies WITHIN meditation.  Have you explored the Great Mystery?  To anyone searching for God, Universal Meaning, Source, Energy, Divine Intelligence (or whatever name you prefer), I encourage you to befriend the silence.

Look, linger, share, support.

  1. Thanks Keela, I still deal with flip books from my past and know I caused some for my kids and grandkids too, but, yes, those victories when you know you did and said the right thing are the flip books we should cling to, not the negative ones. Thanks, Auntie Kim

  2. Keela, this is so beautiful! You gave Amelie exactly what she needed exactly when she needed it — no regrets, no do-over needed. 🙂 And what a wonderful lesson you gave her — one that will shape her view of herself as a loved person and give her the tools she needs to be able to pass that love to those around her.
I guess our ‘do-overs’ can be in changing the way we treat ourselves and others……..and maybe a spirit-trip back to past situations to ‘watch’ what happened through the eyes of love…..forgive ourselves and others….and if necessary, ask forgiveness for what took place in the past. Followed by a resolution to be PRESENT in our life every moment of every day.
Your writing is amazing…….as are you! Thank you!

    1. Thank you, my sweet Auntie! I agree. Some of my greatest victories in life have only been possible after receiving insight from my “failures” (I don’t care for the stigma attached to that word). I’m beginning to realize in order to become a “whole” person one must emody both sides of each half. The “ups” the “downs”, “victories” and “defeats”, etc. are necessary because the inherent nature of Life is balance.

  3. Keekee, you just made an impact that will last a lifetime. Cheri and I have been talking about those formative years and the moments that shape your behavior and concept of yourself. Yes, you can go to counseling. Yes, you might even be able to change some behaviors in yourself, but the lessons you learn as a child last forever. You have planted a seed and hopefully, it will grow into a mighty oak.
I am so proud of you!! May your wisdom seep into the minds of other parents so we can have the next generation show love and kindness to others and thwart out fear and hate. I love you!

    1. Thank you, Mama! It means so much to hear that. You know I have had to do a lot of growing to get here. In that way, I’m glad to know first hand what darkness lurks so I can light the way for my littles.

  4. Wow , Keela! That is so very powerful, touching and cause of a few leaking tears.
It makes me so proud of you, and at the same time, wish do-overs were available so I could go back and apply your insights to my child rearing days. Seriously, you have reached deep into a deep spiritual well of wisdom AND you’ve had the wisdom and determination to give it practical application in your life. There will be no regrets for you! Sure do love you! Mom

  5. Beautifully spoken from your heart, Keekee. You are magnificent…let your light shine bright. I love you!

    1. Thank you, Aunt Christie! Thank you for being a channel as well. Your writing that you sent to Lori (before Shaun and Brandon’s surgeries) comforted and impacted me – and so many of us – in a tremendous way.

  6. You’ve been on my heart lately keela. I must say I am so thankful to have met you and have you in my life, I think we all get caught up in our busy lives and it’s so good and neccassary to slow down, take the moment in and reflect on ourselves. Thank you for sharing.

  7. Keela if we could all live through your insight & love what a wonderful world we would live in! Your message has inspired me to be a better person…..love & Blessings

    1. Wow, Joan! I’m sorry I didn’t see this sooner, but it certainly made my Saturday morning. 🙂 Thank you. Love you lots!!

  8. Thank you for sharing your growing and learning process! I think many of us have struggled with many of the same issues and it is wonderful to see someone who shares their journey and successes. Not to say that failures aren’t good, they are, as it allows us to have new eyes to view the situation or issue.

May the brothers and sisters I the animal world sing music to fill your heart as you walk on Mother Earth’s back this day!

  9. Your blog posts are the highlight of my day. You have a very unique and engrossing writing style and I feel like I can hear your voice narrating your words as I read along. This is truly fantastic. You have a gift.

  10. Love it. I’ve spent the last 2 years overcoming my fears. Downsizing, tattoos, apartment, traveling international, now being brave enough to be single. I think I have no more fears left! (That I can control, anyways!)

  11. Thank you, my sweet daughter-in-law, for your words have brought much comfort and peace to me right now as I lay here at 1am and listen to my father get ready to leave this life. I love you!

  12. Beautiful, Keela! For a long time now meditation has helped me distill whatever is happening in my life down to its least common denominator and find clarity. What a great idea you have – I will be looking forward to following along! We are all pan-handlers, aren’t we?

  13. KEELA! This is awesome!
